Cheap way to create & etch a PCB circuit

There are severals way to create & etch a PCB & have almost the same result. Beside using the active presensitized PCB that require UV light, we actually can create PCB without buying those gadgets & components. All you need is a laser printer, ferric chloride solution, OHP transparency, permanent marker pen, 1200grit sandpaper & iron. All these thing will cost you not more than rm20.

The steps to create PCB using this cheap way is rather simple too but it will be a bit messy ( who care as long as we could obtain the same result ).

STEP 1: Sand all particles away until PCB surface smooth & shiny, wash throughly with water & dry it completely before proceed to next step.

STEP 2: Print out your circuit trax using laser printer onto OHP transparency, then gently stick it on the PCB's copper layer.

STEP 3: Set your iron to Silk setting & iron your PCB for approximately 20 minutes. Note: Do not move your iron around or the trax might spread wide.

STEP 4: Wait the PCB cooled down, then gently tear the transparency from the PCB. the trax should printed nicely on the PCB surface. If some of the areas are defected, use permanent marker pen to draw it yourself.

STEP 5: Add ferric chloride solution and warm water with ratio 2:1 into a plastic tub ( Do Not use metal tub because it is not safe ). Emerge the PCB into solution & shake the tub ocassionally. Examine the PCB until the uncover copper layer had removed.

STEP 6: Take out the PCB & wash it with water. Use acetone or thinner to remove the trax mark on the PCB. By now your PCB should finish. :)

MSI GeForce 9800GX2 reviewing

Recently I surf the web purchase new graphic card for my new PC & i attracted by this tiny little card. It not tiny actually ( It is massive huge -.-", it can be used only with those MOBO which locate the SATA port at the side because these cards actually covered up the port ). It's dual slot card & the first dual GPU single card solution on the planet. After reviewing the benchmark, I found that this card is insane fast. Running Crysis on 1920x1200 4AA ultra high setting it manage to get 35-42 fps.


This graphic card run perfectly with PCI-eX16 2.0 bus & it's designed for tri SLI. Core clock is 600Mhz, shader clock 1.5Ghz & memory clock 2Ghz. What attracted me is it has 512bit memory interface in single card ( OMG.. that alots ). This card also good for overclocker because it has good cooling system within the card. This card is so pretty with plastic enclosure all over the card.

My very first homebuild autonomous vehicle

Basically I just wanna to share about my project during my diploma's course. It just a cheap-looking vehicle but rather expensive to build it :/. This vehicle is built up using a microntroller to control connected to a infrared as a navigation device & a h-bridge motor driver. Fortunately, I was able to get the vehicle 99.9% working :D~.

Unluckiest Day ~!

Today is my unluckiest day indeed. I went working as usual by driving my lil' gen2. When waiting for the traffic light, suddenly i heard a loud bang behind my car. I look back & noticed a motorist try to run away but I couldn't chase him because there are heavy traffices. The damage was not large but it was very deep T.T" rusty somemore before I get it to repaint. Btw, the car is 3 month old only. T.T
